WINTER 2012: Classes are being planned for January, February, and March, and will be posted online as they are assigned a date. Watch for our new upcoming season of classes, events and daytrips!
Our annual Meet the Butcher, the Baker, and the Candlestick Maker, and Luncheon, will be held Saturday, February 25, 2012. Come with us and enjoy behind the scenes visits to Paulina Market, Lutz Bakery, and Waxman Candles, plus private 4-course luncheon. Details are available on our Events and Daytrips page.

Thursday, Feb. 16, 7-9 p.m., SINGLES CLASS: Squash 101 Anyone? with Alan Wise, Executive Chef, Blue Star Bistro & Wine Bar, Chicago: Butternut Squash Bisque with sherry and Granny Smith apple, topped with a balsamic glaze; Roasted Acorn Squash Risotto with goat and amaroni syrup; Spaghetti Squash with parsley, rosemary, and thyme; and Maple Glazed Roast Loin of Pork with squash and cashew sauce. This class is open to singles age 21 and over. An after party will be held with a cash bar form 9-11 p.m. Advance Registration Required. Late registration increases $10 on and after 2/10/12.
Monday, February 20, 7-9 p.m., Mardi Gras: Comfort Style, with Greg York, Executive Chef, The Abbey Pub, Chicago: Celebrate Mardi Gras on Fat Tuesday with colorful beads to throw and feast on five great dishes before fasting for Lent: Jambalaya from scratch with a dark roux, andouille sausage, chicken or shrimp, tomato, and vegetables; Blackened Chicken Breast; Red Beans and Rice, Creole Shrimp, and Cheese Grits. Advance Registration Required. Late registration increases $10 on and after 2/14/12.
